- Account data: Email address, name, phone number, and avatar when you create an account.
- Job content: Job titles, descriptions, and job item details you create within the Service.

- Quotes: Labor costs, materials costs, materials lists, and notes submitted by handymen.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and technical data: IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs. This data is used for security, analytics, and troubleshooting.
- Activity log: Actions you take within the Service (e.g., creating a job, changing a status, sending a message), along with timestamps.
1.3 Information from Magic Links
If you access the Service via a magic link (without creating an account), we collect the email address the link was sent to and any content you create while using the Service. No additional sign-up is required.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service: Facilitate job creation, sharing, quoting, messaging, and status tracking between job creators (homeowners/realtors) and handymen.
- Send transactional communications: Magic link emails, status change notifications, and other Service-related messages.
- Maintain security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns, debug issues, and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations: Respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With other users on your jobs: When you share a job with a handyman (or a client shares a job with you), the other party can see the job content, photos, messages, and quotes associated with that job.
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the Service, including cloud hosting (Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare R2), transactional email delivery, and error monitoring. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.
- Advertising partners (public marketing pages only): On our public marketing pages (the homepage at
proximing.com/and legal pages under/legal/), we load Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may set and read cookies on these pages to serve and measure ads. We do not load advertising scripts inside the authenticated application (e.g.,/dashboard, job pages, or magic link pages). See Section 10 for details and opt-out options. - Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

We retain your information according to the following schedule:
| Data | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Account data | Until you delete your account, or 2 years after your last activity |
| Active jobs (content, messages, quotes) | Retained while the job is in use |
| Archived jobs (content, messages, quotes) | 2 years after archival, then deleted |
| Photos | 1 year after the associated job is archived, then deleted |
| Activity log | 3 years, then anonymized |
| Device and technical data | 90 days, then aggregated |
| Expired magic links and invitations | Purged 30 days after expiry |
5. Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time through the Settings page ("Delete My Account & Data").
- All personal data will be removed within 30 days of your request.
- A 14-day grace period applies first, during which you can cancel the request.
- After the grace period, we will delete your account, all photos you uploaded, and revoke all magic links you created within the remaining time.
- Jobs and messages shared with other users will be anonymized (your email replaced with "deleted user") rather than deleted, to preserve the other party's records.
- You may receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete (this notification feature is being rolled out; in the meantime, deletion status is visible in your account settings until the account is fully purged).
6. Data Export
You may request a machine-readable export of your personal data at any time. The export includes your account information, all jobs (with items, quotes, and messages), and signed photo download links valid for 24 hours. The export is delivered via a download link sent to your email, available for 7 days. You may request one export per 24-hour period.
